01 What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between page views: a login session, a language choice, or an identifier used to measure traffic.
Related technologies do the same job by different means, including local storage, session storage and tracking pixels. This policy covers all of them, not just cookies in the strict sense.
02 Cookies we set
None. This website is a static set of pages. It has no accounts, no sessions, no shopping basket and no theme switcher, so there is nothing for us to remember about you between visits.
We also run no analytics package, no advertising network, no heatmap or session-recording tool, and no social media embeds. Nothing is written to your browser's local storage or session storage.
Consent banners exist because sites store or read information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary to deliver the page. This site does neither, so there is nothing to ask you to consent to. If that ever changes, the banner will appear before the tracking does, not after.
03 Third-party requests
Although no cookies are set, loading any page does involve two external parties. We list them so the picture is complete:

Google Fonts does not set cookies on the font-serving domain, but the request itself does reveal your IP address to Google. If you prefer to avoid that, blocking fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com leaves the site fully usable in a system typeface.
Once you click through to one of the companies we compare, you are on their website, and their own cookie practices apply.
04 If this changes
If we later add analytics or any other technology that stores or reads information on your device, we will update this page and the table above before that technology goes live, and we will introduce a consent mechanism where the law requires one.
The date at the top of this page is the honest marker of when it was last checked against what the site actually does.
05 How to control cookies
Even though this site sets none, you can control cookies for every site you visit from your browser settings. The relevant panel is usually under privacy or site data:
- Chrome. Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies.
- Firefox. Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari. Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
- Edge. Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking cookies broadly will not affect anything on this site, because nothing here depends on them.
06 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We honour both by default, in the simplest possible way: there is no tracking to switch off, and no personal information is sold or shared.
