This website is an independent editorial project that compares smart contract development companies. It is published and operated by Hexgrid Media Ltd., which acts as the data controller for the limited processing described below.

02 What we collect
This is a static, single-page reference site. It has no user accounts, no login, no newsletter and no contact form. We do not ask you for your name, email address or any other identifying detail in order to read it.
Two categories of data are nonetheless involved whenever any website is served to a browser:
- Server request logs. Our hosting provider records the technical details of each request, including IP address, timestamp, requested page, referring page and browser user agent. These logs exist to deliver the site, keep it available and identify abuse.
- Font delivery requests. The page loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google servers, and your IP address and user agent are visible to Google as part of that request. See section 4.
This site sets no cookies of its own, uses no advertising or tracking pixels, and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
03 Why we process it
Where the UK GDPR and EU GDPR apply, our legal basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): operating a website securely and reliably, and understanding demand for the content at an aggregate level. We consider this processing low-impact because it is limited to technical data and is not used to build profiles or to target advertising.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
04 Third parties
We keep external services to a minimum. The following are involved in serving this site:

If you would rather your browser did not contact Google for fonts, blocking fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com at browser or network level leaves the site fully readable in a system typeface.
The pages also link out to the websites of the companies we compare. Those are independent organisations with their own privacy practices, and this policy does not extend to them.
05 How long we keep it
Server logs are retained only as long as they are useful for security and reliability purposes, and are deleted or aggregated after a short period in line with our hosting provider's standard retention settings. Because we hold no accounts and run no mailing list, there is no long-term store of personal data associated with readers of this site.
If you email us, we keep that correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your question and to keep a record of it, then delete it.
06 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over personal data relating to you:
- Access. Ask whether we hold data about you and receive a copy of it.
- Rectification. Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete data where there is no continuing reason to keep it.
- Restriction and objection. Ask us to pause processing, or object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Portability. Receive data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Complaint. Raise the matter with your data protection authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Readers in California may additionally ask what categories of personal information were collected and whether any were sold or shared. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA and CPRA, so there is nothing to opt out of.
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@smart-contract-development-company.com. We answer within one month. Because we hold so little data, we may need extra detail from you to locate anything at all, and in some cases we may hold nothing that identifies you.
07 International transfers
Our hosting and font delivery providers operate globally, so the technical data described above may be processed on servers outside your own country, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.
08 Children
This site is written for people evaluating software development vendors on behalf of a business. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
09 Changes
If we change how this site handles data, for example by introducing analytics, we will update this page and move the date at the top forward before the change takes effect. Material changes will be summarised here rather than applied quietly.
